Joke for today!

I just read a joke this morning. It is quite funny. Gonna share with you guys here. Hope it brings laughter to you. Enjoy ya!

There it goes,

An ailing grandmother is talking to her favourite granddaughter.

"Lori, I am old and weak, and i know that the time for me to leave is near. I want you to inherit my farm, including the barn, the villa, the tractors, the farmhouse, all the livestock, and the piggery."

"Wow," said Lori, stunned. "Thank you so much, Grandma! I didn't know you even ad a farm. Where is it?"

Her grandma replied, "You can find it on my Facebook account. Just click on the Farmville bookmark after you log on . My email address is "dgranny@yahoo.com," and the password is 'just4lori'." LOL!!

I miss my hometown - Sibu

It's been half year since last time i went back. Time flies away fast and the hectic life at KL always make me miss my home. Although Sibu is a small town with not much entertainment, it is a peaceful town which i love to stay at. Sibu is also a "Heaven of Food". It's been a long time that i have not eaten local Sibu food such as Kampua, Kompia, and lots more. Now, i am going to introduce some local food from my hometown. hehe...

1) "Siong Kee" Kampua Mee
Siong Kee is one of the most famous kampua noodle stalls in Sibu. Siong Kee Mee Kampua is located in Taman Muhibbah. The proprietor is the one manning the stall and has almost acrobatic displays of noodle handling from the pot of boiling water to the bowl. Siong Kee Mee Kampua is very busy almost every night due to the good noodles that he churns out.Kampua noodles is actually very simple to make but this man is the only one who makes it entertaining to watch.

2)Umai
Umai is a raw fish dish prepared by the Melanau tribe in Mukah. It’s a must try dish if you ever go to Mukah. It’s the Malaysian version of the sashimi and is traditionally the working lunch for Melanau fishermen.Umai is made of thinly sliced slivers of raw fish and served with toasted sago pearls. The popularity of the dish for the fishermen is pragmatic – it doesn’t need to be cooked while deep sea fishing and the sago pearls provides the carbohydrates for a filling lunch.

3) Pek Tin Yok - Eight Herb Soup
There is a popular Foochow concoction over here called pek tin yok which is translated literally as “eight herb soup”. Eight Herb Soup is brewed with chunks of pork meat. The meat is tender and juicy and absorbs much of the soup’s flavors. It’s eaten with soy sauce and rice and some people add a little bit of soup to the rice as well

Sllurpps....these make my saliva drooling.. =(

Lee Hom

Leehom is a talented artist. I like his music. His musical style is known for fusing Chinese elements (such as beijing opera, traditional styles of ethnic minorities, Chinese classical orchestra) with hip-hop and R&B. Leehom has been active since 1995 and contributed in 25 albums. He is also a four-time winner of Taiwan's Golden Melody Awards, the "Grammys" of Taiwanese music. In addition to his music, Leehom also acted in several films. I saw this post several days ago in Facebook and I found it interesting and touching. Sharing in chinese. =]

——《kissgoodbye》

Shepherd's Centre Foundation

Shepherd's Centre Foundation is a foster home for children who are orphaned, abandoned, abused, and neglected children from broken families. It is located at semenyih. This coming Saturday, my church youth fellowship is going to pay a visit there. Before i thought it's easy to organize a visitation and planning some programmes, but it is not as simple as i think. Thanks for the help of brothers and sisters, they guide me and teach me a lot.

There are over 100 children who need our care and love. All children, regardless of the problems they face in their family and/or their inability to overcome social problems should ever be denied basic education, balance diet, comfortable clothes, spiritual and moral guidance, proper medical care and parental care. We know that we can't do much for them, all we can do is to bring cheers to their faces, or helping their foundation by donating.

Give thanks that We are the blessed one as we have a lovely family. Besides, please do not hesitate to lend ur hands and help those in needs! =)

Sing... sing... Singapore!!!!

During last semester break, i went for vacation at singapore with my best friends. They are Lily, Nancy and Ah Hong. This was really a wonderful and amazing 5 days 4 nights travelling. We had planned for this trip since last year, that time we booked the air ticket straight away without thinking much as there was zero fare for the flight to singapore.

We went to a lot of places such as Bugis street, Chinatown, Orchard Road, Marina Bay Sands, Marina Barrage and last but not least, Sentosa Island! The one i love the most is Universal Studio which is located at Sentosa Island. In Universal Studio, there were my favourite cartoons Shrek, Madagascars, The Mummy and many more. We also had fun riding roller coaster, boats, and watching some shows.

Here comes the local food! We love searching for foods, Jalan-Jalan Cari Makan! We met with our friends who are staying in Singapore. They introduced us a lot of delicacies and those foods satisfied our stomach very much. And, most importantly.. the food also gave us energy to proceed our trip. We reached hotel late every night with our tiring bodies, every seconds were fully occupied in our trip because we dont want to waste this precious time at Singapore.

SHOP, EAT, REST, CAPTURE PHOTOS, GATHERING WITH FRIENDS, LOOKING AT THE MAPS are the most enjoyable moments and i cherish it a lot. I love travelling and i m looking forward for my next trip.

Let's take a look at my photos!

Smile with pretty birdy (forgot the name of this cartoon) =P

At Far far away Castle.

After having fun at Universal Studio, we went to watch musical fountain called "Songs of the Sea". This show was amazing with only $10. Meanwhile watching, we managed to capture a few scenes for our memory.

Beautiful view at Marina Bay Sands

Laura Story - Blessings

This is a special song. My friend introduced to me a few days ago. She told me that i appeared in her mind as she was listening to this song as my name is also called Laura. That's so sweet of her! I like this song very much, both the lyrics and melody. It reminds me that our Lord is always by our side when we face trials or difficulties in our life. All we need to do is to pray to Him. This few weeks, i was so stressed because of my exams and other events. This song encouraged me a lot. So, i would like to share this with u all. Hope u guys like it! =)

We pray for blessings
We pray for peace
Comfort for family, protection while we sleep
We pray for healing, for prosperity
We pray for Your mighty hand to ease our suffering
All the while, You hear each spoken need
Yet love is way too much to give us lesser things

'Cause what if your blessings come through raindrops
What if Your healing comes through tears
What if a thousand sleepless nights are what it takes to know You're near
What if trials of this life are Your mercies in disguise

We pray for wisdom
Your voice to hear
We cry in anger when we cannot feel You near
We doubt your goodness, we doubt your love
As if every promise from Your Word is not enough
All the while, You hear each desperate plea
And long we'd have faith to believe

'Cause what if your blessings come through raindrops
What if Your healing comes through tears
What if a thousand sleepless nights are what it takes to know You're near
What if trials of this life are Your mercies in disguise

When friends betray us
When darkness seems to win
We know that pain reminds this heart
That this is not our home
It's not our home

'Cause what if your blessings come through raindrops
What if Your healing comes through tears
What if a thousand sleepless nights are what it takes to know You're near
What if trials of this life are Your mercies in disguise
What if my greatest disappointments
Or the aching of this life
Is the revealing of a greater thirst this world can't satisfy
What if trials of this life
The rain, the storms, the hardest nights
Are your mercies in disguise
